At REAL Hoops, our goal is to provide an enjoyable experience of learning the game of basketball for all ages from former and current professional players and coaches.
As an organization, REAL Hoops has the knowledge and experience to teach the highest level of fundamentals and individual skill development. Our focus continues to be on the youth. This is a program that recognizes the youth in all their future endeavors.
Lamar MoriniaLamar Morinia
Promptly after graduating high school in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lamar began his college playing career at Montana State University-Northern. Lamar suited up for the Northern Lights from 2000 to 2004. During his time there, Lamar was named as an All-American and led the Frontier Conference in steals. In 2005, he started his professional playing career in Europe, where he still plays today. Success has followed Lamar to every team he has played for, whether it came in the form of individual awards or team success. In 2007, Lamar led his team to the league championship and in 2012, he lead his new team to their first ever playoff victory. His individual awards include ProB League Honorable Mention in 2010, 1st Team All-North League in 2009 and North League Most Valuable Player in 2007. This year Lamar played for Magdeburg Otto Baskets in Germany where he led the team in scoring, rebounding, and assists. Lamar is a valuable asset for the REAL Hoops family. His playing experience and knowledge of the game is impossible to duplicate.
Lamar’s history of success definitely gives REAL Hoops an edge when it comes to teaching our young players, and preparing them for their future. As a Co-Owner of REAL Hoops, Lamar is able to change lives through his past experiences and his great knowledge of the game of basketball.
