Diego Hernandez

Diego is the Assistant Coach of the REAL Hoops 11U Basketball Team.  Diego is very energetic, dedicated, and influential.  We are very happy to have Diego as a part of our RH Staff.  Our RH 11U Team has continued to grow as a family due to the commitment of Diego and all of the other members associated with the team.  Coach Diego strongly believes that “A player that makes a team great, is more valuable than a great player.”  He also believes “The thing that drives success is passion and enthusiasm in what you do.”  One of his favorite coaches is Coach Boeheim from Syracuse University.  The Los Angeles Lakers and Syracuse University are two of the teams the Diego likes to watch/study.

REAL Hoops is proud to call Diego one of our own and we are looking forward to the growth of Diego as he continues to dedicate himself to the REAL Hoops Basketball Organization.

Personal: Diego was born in Chemisal, NM and he graduated High School from Santa Fe High School in Santa Fe, NM.  He is married to Kristen Hernandez and they have 3 children (Elias 11, Mateo 11, Olivia 6).
